Happy Birthday to the Sweetest person on the Earth :)

On Monday it was Spencer's birthday!
And it was a great day!!
Oh man am I sure happy that he was born 23 years ago!
Because he is my best friend
And I don't know what I would do with out him!

Not only is he the cutest guy I've ever seen..
but he is also the most determined, fun, kind, loving, athletic, genuine, smart, creative, and happy guy I've ever met.
It's pretty hard to catch him with out a big smile on his face
and he is always laughing about something
even if it is one of his own jokes... which I think is pretty cute :)
basically I love him dearly!

One of the many things that I admire about Spencer is how he dreams big
and is good at accomplishing his goals.
On Saturday I was bursting with pride as I watched him finish his first sprint triathlon!
He has been training pretty hard for a while!
and it made me so happy to be able to watch him do so well!
He finished 8th overall
and 1st in his age group!

The morning started out really early
like 4:00am early
We got everything ready and headed to the site so that spencer could set up his transitions, and just get a feel for where the race was going to be.

Then it was time for the race to start!!
First was the swim!

If you look closely you can see all of their little orange swim caps in the distance of this picture!

Next was the bike ride!

Then me and Blake ran home to eat really quick...
change diaper... things like that!
then we rushed to catch Spencer at his transition from bike to run!
and luckily we drove past him right as he was starting his run! other wise we would have missed it!!
Then me and Blake waited at the finish line

and after not much waiting Spencer was already coming to the finish!!

This next picture is a little frustrating! I had the perfect spot to catch a good picture of the finish...
then these two guys came and stood right in front of me!!
so if you look closely that's Spencer crossing the finish in the background!

And this one is blurry thanks to those guys again!

I was so proud of him!!
Here he is at the medal ceremony!
He got a plaque for being first in his age group!

Anyways, this is just one of the many things that Spencer has accomplished recently!
add in his extremely good grades,
all the fun he has with me and Blake,
and the fact that he has a full time job...
and we might just have to call him superman! :)

We celebrated his birthday with a banner, homemade confetti...
